This iwas the third of four National Enquiries being held across the country.  This independent and objective enquiry explores the views of criminal justice sector practitioners and experts around the country to hear their perspectives on what works best; community or custody.  The Criminal Justice Drugs Team (CJDT) in Leicester provides drug treatment to service users with current or recent contact with the Criminal Justice System.  The Team currently works as a partnership between the Leicestershire and Rutland Probation Trust, Addaction (a drug and alcohol treatment charity) and the Police.

 

The team of panellists visited the CJDT centre prior to the evidence gathering and lively debate held at the Belmont Hotel in Leicester.
